I am very pleased to announce that Soila Sayialel has been promoted to the post of Deputy Director of AERP. As regular visitors to this site and Amboseli will know, Soila has been an integral part of ATE for over 20 years. (Please see her short bio on this website in Who We Are.) In addition to taking on more administrative responsibilities, Soila's duties with regard to research support and community outreach will continue as before. The promotion recognizes the extreme importance of her role and will help improve her stature during the numerous official negotiations that she is obliged to participate in. We all know that without Soila the project and the elephants would not be able to survive. Well done, Soila, and congratulations from the whole team!
