Jacob Kipaa and Norah Crowd at the Ceremony

Jacob Kipaa, a local Massai recently returned home from completing his Masters Degree in China for two years. He is one of the lucky students who are sponsored by the Amboseli Trust for Elephants. The project sponsored him through his Undergraduate Degree at Nairobi University here in Kenya before travelling to China.

This ATE initiative which mostly focuses on young and promising maasai girls aims at educating the Maasai. During the ceremony many things were said on the importance of education where community leaders encouraged parents to take their children to school. The Maasai attitude towards education is changing and it was really fascinating to see the big crowd coming together to support such a worthy cause.

I was proud to represent ATE and show encouragement to all the women.

Congratulations!

Thank you for the post.
It really is a brilliant idea to support young Maasai people for more education as they hold the future of Amboseli.

Thank you, Norah,

ATE has just opened a new chapter in my life. Through them, I saw a University door (University of Nairobi) where I did my undergraduates (B. A Land Economics), 2008. They have also enabled me to get a scholarship to travel abroad for a masters degree in environmental science in Tongji University, P. R. China, 2010.
I am really proud of ATE. ATE live long for your generosity.

Seeing three photos of mine over here, i dont even have a single word to express my happiness, I dont know how to thank you because i'm just out of words which best suit this situation.

God bless you abundantly.
